Candidate should have a Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 1 to 3 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and practices. Should have experience in creating and executing manual test cases for web-based application and command line interface applications.
Familiarity with bug reporting tools such as Gitlab, Jira etc. Solid understanding of bug lifecycle and its methodologies. Ability to identify positive, negative and edge case scenarios. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
Preferred Skills-
Experience with Linux/ Unix, Gitlab, Git, Docker and Containerisation. Manual testing experience of enterprise applications.
Job Responsibilities-
Write and execute manual test cases to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of software applications. Identify, document, and track software defects using issue tracking tools, and work closely with developers to resolve them. Conduct regression and release testing to ensure that previously implemented features continue to function correctly after new changes are introduced.
Collaborate with the product development team and provide input on design and implementation decisions from a quality perspective. Contribute to the improvement of QA processes and methodologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality
