Candidate should have a Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent with 1+ year of experience in software development, mobile application development or Android framework development. Should have good experience programming in Java
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working on the Android operating system. Experience in IP communication, android telephony framework, and TCP/ UDP/ IP Protocol Experience in cellular wireless technologies and IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) Experience programming in C/ C++
Responsibilities-
Propose, design, and develop new Telephony features in Android applications and/or in the Android framework, with additional software components on the server side (when needed). Collaborate closely with other software teams in Google and external parties (e.g., mobile chipset vendors, mobile operators, and OEMs) to design, develop, and launch features and products on time and with the highest quality.
Understand the mobile wireless requirements and carrier specifications to implement new features defined by standard bodies or mobile operators that enhance the user experience. Debug and fix bugs reported during integration and field testing, and define mechanisms to mitigate issues. Propose and implement various performance optimizations across the telephony stack (e.g., memory, power, bandwidth reduction).
