We are seeking a dedicated and technically proficient Support Desk Technician. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in support desk operations and possess scripting skills, particularly in PowerShell. This role will be responsible for providing top-notch technical support to our internal users while leveraging scripting abilities to streamline and automate routine tasks.
Mandatory Skills-
Provide exceptional technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly and professionally. Respond to support requests via various channels (phone, email, chat) and prioritize them based on urgency and impact. Utilize PowerShell scripting to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency within the support desk. Develop and maintain scripts for system administration, software deployment, and data management. Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate automation solutions into the overall IT infrastructure. Analyze and diagnose complex technical issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Conduct user training and create documentation to empower end-users to resolve common issues independently. Assist in maintaining accurate hardware and software inventory records. Adhere to security policies and procedures to ensure data protection and compliance with relevant regulations. Participate in security incident response and remediation activities.
Nice to have:
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or CompTIA Network+ can be advantageous. Understanding of computer hardware components and the ability to perform basic hardware troubleshooting and upgrades. Virtualization & Mobile Device Management (MDM) experience. Understanding of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their integration with on-premises infrastructure. Enhanced customer service skills to provide a positive and user-friendly support experience.
